Miller says Gazprom can build transport capacities in Black Sea

MOSCOW, Oct 12 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom is technically ready to build gas transportation capacities in the Black Sea and consider creation of a gas trading platform at the Turkey–E.U. border, CEO Alexei Miller said at the Russian Energy Week forum on Wednesday.

“Technically, we are ready to build gas transportation capacities. As for a hub, no doubt we need to consider this issue of a trading platform at the border of the E.U. and Turkey,” he said.

He also said that there is no answer to the question of how and why to restore the threads of the Nord Stream gas pipeline as its turbines are out of order.

The second thread of the Nord Stream 2 may be damaged, but there are definitely no gas leaks, Miller said. He added that Gazprom has not been allowed to approach to the accident site yet.

Miller also said that Europe may be short of about 800 million cubic meters of gas per day in case of a severe cold.
